I jumped for joy when I heard the news last night. Sure, we can say "it's about time" or "it's too little too late", but it is a small step forward.
ReplyDeleteThe statement was similar to last year and yet the difference is that the Church sent a representative to the City Council to voice their opinion on the matter - a tipping point for sure. Had they done that step in last year's legislative session, we wouldn't have seen the hateful debate that occurred on Capitol Hill.
Do you think they'll send a church spokesperson to the Capitol in this next legislative session?
One can hope... I think so. I think this is a positive step.
